As if 2009 hasn’t already been tough enough for many retailers, sales in the run up to Christmas are now being badly hit by the dreadful weather. About 7 percent fewer people hit the streets on Saturday and Sunday compared to the previous year. We’re approaching not just the end of another year, but also the end of a decade. And according to the advisory firm KPMG this decade could well go down as the “lost decade” for pensions.
