Andy Verity and Mickey Clark present this morning’s business stories, including:
A report out today says that over-reliance on pensions investment in the stock market has been little more than a “bet on equities” that has failed.
The great and the good of the building societies world are meeting today in Harrogate for a conference hosted by their trade body, the Building Societies Association.
We also look at plans by two East Anglian based entrepreneurs who are trying to raise up to four billion pounds to build a high-speed rail link between Cambridge and Norwich.
Finally, we look at calls by two of the biggest phone companies to cut termination fees.
