Retailers are slashing their prices even on a day when they’re normally besieged with customers. So how many more household names are in trouble, and will the big discounts on offer for the past few weeks prove enough to have saved Christmas for the shops?
Also; jobs have been slashed as papers struggle to cope with declining sales but what can editors and proprietors do to make sure 2009 is better? We take a look at what
2009 may have in store for hedge funds. Also; sports sponsorship is big business. But with the financial services industry under the cosh should sport be worried that the big money deals are a thing of the past?
